|To be eligible to become a police officer in Nigeria, you must meet the following minimum requirements:|
|You must be at least 21 years old.||You must hold a bachelor’s degree with any of the following degrees: Law, Economics, Geography, Sociology or Political Science.|

Who can apply?
|You must be a Nigeria citizen to apply for the recruitment process.|
|You must have completed your Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) or an equivalent qualification with minimum of five credits in not more than two sittings in relevant subjects at the O’ level. This includes English Language, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry for those who wish to apply for the Cadet Inspector Force (CIF), Police Constable Duties and Driver Duties respectively; and Biology, Economics and Government/History at least one from each subject for those wishing to apply for Cadet Inspector of Police Force (CIPF) cadre.||If you are applying through Postgraduate National Diploma programs or Graduate Certificate programs; your ND or GCP certificate should be obtained from NUC accredited institutions only.|
