General Requirements For NEMA Recruitment 2024

To qualify for NEMA recruitment this year, you must satisfy the following requirements:

• Nigerian citizen with a valid means of identification.
• Minimum of 5 credit passes including English and Maths for non-graduates.
• Relevant ND, NCE, HND, or Bachelors degree for graduates. PGD and Master’s degree holders can also apply for certain roles.
• Completed the mandatory 1-year national youth service for graduates under 30 years old.
• Not above 35 years old by 2024 for non-graduates and below 28 years old for graduates.
• Meet specific requirements for specialist roles like flying hours for pilots.
• Physically and mentally fit for operational roles with proof of fitness.
• Have the requisite computer skills for the application position.

Application Registration Portal

Eligible candidates can apply for NEMA recruitment via the activated online registration portal. To begin the application process:

1. Visit NEMA’s recruitment portal at careers.nema.gov.ng.

2. Select the desired category you wish you apply for signified as NEMA 01, NEMA 02, etc.

3. Carefully read through the guidelines and instructions. Also, take note of critical application information like deadlines, required documents, application fee payment, exam dates, etc.

4. Click on the “Apply Here” tab to start your application by filling out the online form. Supply accurate details, contact information, educational background, employment history, etc as required.

5. Upload scans of documents like your CV, certificates, ID card, birth certificate/age declaration, etc, all in PDF format and not exceeding the specified size limit per file.

6. Make application fee payment if required depending on the cadre you are applying to. Payment is via Remita using an ATM card, internet banking, bank branch, or via QR code.

7. Submit your application and print out the confirmation/acknowledgment slip. You will also receive an email acknowledging your registration.

To complete your application, you need to provide the following documents:

• Birth certificate/age declaration
• Local government identification
• NYSC discharge certificate (for graduates under 30 years)
• Educational certificates (ND, NCE, HND, Bachelors degree, PGD, Masters, etc if applicable)
• Professional certificates (for specialist cadres)
• Fitness certificate (for operational recruits)
• Passport photographs
• National ID card/voter card
• Updated CV

The documents should be scanned in high-quality PDF format not exceeding the stipulated size per file. Make sure your scans are clear and legible. You can upload multiple files for each required document category.

Do NOT upload Word documents, JPG images, or ZIP files. Ensure you optimize your PDFs to reduce the file size. Also, cross-check all your inputs on the application portal before submitting finally.
